Note: I have only purchased from a few of the stores listed below. The rest are recommended here through word of mouth among fellow fursuiters.

- A great resource for high quality long pile fur. Good variety and often quite careful with shipping the fur. Friendly service and fairly prompt delivery.
* crscrafts.com
- Good selection of short pile fur ranging from realistic to bright and toony. Their ‘seal’ fur is pretty high quality and quite soft to touch. I was pleased when they sent me a catelog of their items with my purchase, as I never knew they had such a broad stock of crafting supplies.
fabric.com/
- Search for the luxury shag. This longpile fur is popular with toony costumes. It is available in bright colors, available from many sources, and costs reasonably. I have heard that fur may come in the box quite wrinkled, so take care and open your package immediately.
fursuitsupplies.com
- Although the stock is small for now, it continues to grow! A trusty site maintained by fellow fursuiters. Unique in a sense that it has specially created pieces such as resin blanks, teeth, and pawpads. Check out their fursuit props section - lots of fun oversized items!
imstuffedfur.com
-Unique luxury furs. Good idea to call or email them, as a lot of their selection isn’t online. Often have furs not found anywhere else. (quoted from OMG Pineapple Fursuits)

If you’re looking for general craft or fabric supplies, it doesn’t hurt to look at your local store first. I was able to purchase nearly all of my suit supplies in person. Fur tends to be the only thing I’ll need to buy online.
* Jo-Ann - http://www.joann.com
- My personal favorite craft store. Large selections of fabric. Although I certainly don’t recommend the faux fur they sell there, I can happily recommend their fleece and other fabrics. They have sales very often, so keep your eyes open. Although they do sell foam, it is rather pricey. I never purchase foam there without coupons and sales.
* Michaels’ - http://www.michaels.com/
- Their craft supplies sometimes end up cheaper than Jo-Ann’s, but they have sales less frequently. Michaels’ has a pretty good selection of clay supplies which is perfect for making claws and teeth. Although it should be noted that Michaels’ does not sell fabric (well, as far as I know).
* Hobby Lobby - http://www.hobbylobby.com/
- Although I have only been to one once, the service and selection of supplies is astonishing. From word of mouth, I have heard that their foam is priced very fairly. I can happily say that the customer service is very nice and always willing to help.
