http://fursuit.livejournal.com
- the biggest collection of fursuit making information I can think of. Although I do not post there, this site has been an invaluable resource for me. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, either look elsewhere or post a comment. The people there are always willing to help.
When at a loss for suit making, I always have and will continue to recommend looking at the livejournal for help. The IDEAL place to look for help is in their "memories" section.
http://matrices.net and or http://matrices.tumblr.com/
- a great independently run site by fursuiter Matrices. This is the first tutorial source I found while looking into creating a fursuit and still remains one of my favorites. She provides basic tutorials that get straight to the point. Matrices’ tumblr is also a great resource, as she often answers questions on her blog. It is also a fantastic way to keep up to date with her personal projects.
http://fursuit-tutorials.tumblr.com/
- a handy blog that collects tutorials from various sites such as Deviantart, Tumblr, FurAffinity and more. They’re also willing to answer questions and point to other resources.
http://beetlecatoriginals.com/tutorials/
- Beetlecat creates some really incredible semi-realistic and realistic costumes. I have found it more difficult to find realistic tutorials and her walkthroughs take the cake. Her site has a great selection of tutorials not only on suit making, but choosing a proper sewing machine, sculpting horns, etc. The FAQ also provides some good general information.
http://fursuit.tanidareal.com/
- The talented Tanidareal goes step by step through three of her fursuits. The artist provides a list of the materials she bought, galleries, FAQs, and every step in between. A good place to look if you want to see a suit made from scratch to completion.
